Crime fell by 10% during the Conservative government and reached the lowest level since records began. By cutting red tape the Conservative led government freed up 4.5 million hours of Police time and put officers back on the streets, and meanwhile elected Police & Crime Commissioners have put local people in charge of their police forces. Labour liked to bog the police down with top-down targets- we've only given them one target and that is to cut crime.
